What is the basis for the provision of marine anchors and anchor chains?
Using a boat, we naturally know about anchor chains and mooring chains. In order to have a reliable experience at sea, we also need to know some focused knowledge. Welded anchor chains are now widely used in commercial vessels. Almost all anchor chains are made by flash welding and cast anchor chains are rarely used. Forged anchor chains are largely obsolete, except for most forgings in anchor chain attachments. So which anchor chains and anchor links should be fitted to a seagoing vessel?
Depending on the type of vessel, the navigable waters and the data listed in the specification, the anchoring and mooring chain for a seagoing vessel should be selected according to the size of the vessel. Variable N (equipmenumber), or the number of vessels, is a parameter that reflects the wind and current forces on the hull.
Equipment for cargo ships, bulk carriers, tankers, rake suction dredgers, ferries, etc. is selected according to N. In terms of the number of assemblies, the ship should be equipped with the number of anchors, the weight of each anchor, the level of the anchor chain, the total length and diameter, and if the ship should be equipped with the total number of knots of the anchor chain, the right anchor should be equipped with more knots. Each 10,000 tonne cargo ship should have at least 10 anchor chains.
In general, ships in the unlimited air area should be equipped with 12 anchor chains per main anchor. In addition, the ship should retain at least one anchor discharge clasp and four connecting discharge clasps or connecting chain rings, and the other anchor chain should retain a large floating discharge clasp. AM1 grade chain with a tensile stress of less than 400n/mm2 cannot be used for large grab anchoring.AM3 grade chain is only suitable for anchoring chains with a diameter of 20.5mm or more.
Types and Models of Anchorages: Hall Anchorages, Speck Anchorages, Japan Rodless Anchorages, AC-14 Big Grip Ground Anchorages, Delta Anchorages, Triangle Anchorages, Naval Anchorages, Navy Anchorages, Danforth Anchorages, Danforth Anchorages, Mahi's Big Grip Ground Anchorages, Single Pawl Anchorages, Four Pawl Anchorages,,Positioning Anchorages, Belle Anchorages, Boreal Anchorages, MK3 Anchorages, MK5 Anchorages, MK6 Anchorages, Naval Anchorages, Pear Shaped anchor, MK3 anchor, MK5 anchor, MK6 anchor, naval anchor, pear-shaped anchor, and other common types of marine anchors. There are also marine engineering anchors and fishery farming anchors.
Anchor chain consists of a number of chain rings connected together, the size of which is approximately the chain diameter (mm). Depending on whether there is a gear in the middle of the chain ring, it can be divided into geared anchor chain and gearless anchor chain. Anchor chains can be made by forging, casting and welding. Marine anchor chain consists of several parts, each of which has a length of 25.0 to 27.5 metres and is connected by chain rings or shackles. After anchoring, the anchor chain is stored in the ship's anchor chain compartment. The specification of the anchor chain is confirmed according to the ship construction standard.
Nowadays, many techniques and technologies have been improved and there are many specifications for marine anchor chains and anchor chain configurations. Chinese codes and standards stipulate that the joints and fittings of stalled anchor chains are connected by Kent unloading buckles, and the joints and fittings of stallless anchor chains are connected by connecting unloading buckles. The enlarged link of a gearless anchor chain is a gearless link that is enlarged from the normal link.
